Lovely quiet lodge that has a very cosy feel in a very good location. It has been great seeing the squirrels, rabbits and even a deer.

A very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated lodge in a lovely peaceful setting. Enjoyed looking at the squirrels playing and mother duck with her ten ducklings! Weather unsettled but still got out and about. Recommend Africa Alive Zoo and visit to Somerleyton Gardens. Thankyou both very much. xx.

Had a lovely week at the Lodge. Found the location superb for visiting both Suffolk and Norfolk. Very peaceful setting, enjoyed watching the bunnies at night. No doubt we will return in the future.

A lovely week, great location and quiet site, Recommend boat trip to Hickling Broad (Norfolk Wildlife Trust), well worth the drive. This is our second boat trip with them, even better than last time. Also visited South Beach, Gt Yarmouth and Southwold.

Lovely lodge & excellent location for walking & cycling. Discovered Lowestoft Smokehouse (info in drawer) that still does the speciality of Gt. Yarmouth – BLOATER. Delicious. Excellent beers locally brewed (Lowestoft & Bungay). Lovely Saturday Market (fortnightly) at Beccles. Couldn’t ask for more.

Lodge a lovely spacious place to stay. Visited Bressingham steam railway museum, 4 live trains included. Caister Castle & Car Museum was brilliant, 200+ cars and m/cycles. Paddle steamer on broads was fun. Transport Museum incl trolley buses + trains, Chapel Rd.

We liked Gt Yarmouth going on bouncy castles and went to Norwich and a zoo.

Our second stay here and we had a lovely relaxed stay as before, the lodge provides a lovely setting and it was good to be able to vist more places which was limited last year due to lockdown. Southwold a particular favourite. Good tapas at The Shed.

This is my 2nd time here and like last time it was well equipped and well. Look out for squirrels and rabbits.

Lovely clean lodge, very quiet. Great sitting on deck watching the rabbits a squirrels. Only issues recliner chairs very hard to use. Hand cream in main bathroom hadn’t been replaced. Only instructions for towel rail in en-suite is by the front door.

Owner comment – In case anybody else requires these, all of the instruction books are with the Guest Information folder located underneath the TV. The welcome letter laid out to greet you upon arrival will remind you where to find them. We were so sorry we omitted to leave out a complimentary hand cream.

We had a very comfortable stay herewith everything we needed and loads of storage space too! We had glorious weather to enjoy Lowestoft, Norwich, Beccles and Carlton Marshes. Herman’s Hermits at the Marina Theatre were excellent and a real treat! Thanks.

We had a very cosy weekend at the lodge during rather wet & windy weather! The beach walks were great and it was nice to come in back here to enjoy home cooked meals! A big thank you to the owners for their flexibility. Many thanks!

We had a wonderful stay. The lodge had everything we needed for a very comfortable holiday and there are a great selection of attractions to visit. We would highly recommend Bewilderwood if you have active children!

Lovely location. One of our favourite parts of the country. Lodge was cosy and comfortable with excellent kitchen where it was a pleasure to cook. So nice to find a self catering cottage with knives as sharp as my own.

Corton and Colman Brook Lodge have only one drawback – it’s hard to leave!

Relaxing & enjoyable holiday – lovely lodge in an ideal location – thank you. We can recommend a day on the Broads, ‘The Chippy’ in Lowestoft, crazy golf in Great Yarmouth & beach fun at Gorleston. Also saw seals on the beach at Horsey Gap – definitely worth the 45 min drive & you can find toilets nearby at Hemsby or Sea Palling!

Our 4-year old daughter thinks we are on holiday in the Teletubbies Home Dome! We had a great restful holiday – loads of things for pre-schoolers nearby – Thank you!

We had an amazing time and we wish we could stay forever. The local beach is excellent as well as the rabbits that hop around the lodges. We hope everyone else has a good time.

Great time at Colman Brook Lodge. North Beach was great but if you want to travel lots close by (Yarmouth/Broads). Lodge had everything we needed – Fab time 10/10.

We found the lodge really easily from the directions on the website. The Lodge is very cosy & warm. Everything is really simple to use and fully equiped. It’s been the perfect location/base for exploring Yarmouth & Lowestoft we found many places to eat out over the weekend. We took a walk to the local beach & nature reserve (5 mins) & had a lovely relaxing afternoon. We took a drive out to Oulton Broad & the RSPB NNR – both close for venturing out for the day. We hope to be back later in the year to enjoy this superb coastline.
